Oswego, NY – The Oswego County Historical Society will offer a forty-five minute specialized tour at the Richardson-Bates House Museum centering on animal symbolism through the lens of Renaissance and Egyptian/ Greek Revival styles of the Victorian era. Take a deep dive into the art, culture, and natural world through the eyes of a prominent collector in 1870’s Oswego, NY.
Veronica Gould, recent graduate of History at SUNY Oswego and volunteer at the museum, created the lunchtime tour which will be given at 12:15 pm on two dates: Thursday August 20th and Friday September 4th. No reservations are necessary and no admission will be charged, but donations are appreciated.
