Oswego, N.Y. – The Oswego County Historical Society’s Auction Planning Committee has set the date for their annual Not-So-Silent Auction.This annual fundraiser benefits the maintenance of the historic Richardson-Bates House Museum as well as many projects related to local history and family genealogy.
This year’s event will take place on Friday, April 25, 2025 from 6-8:30 PM at the Lake Ontario Event and Conference Center located in the Best Western Building at 26 E. 1st Street in Oswego.
This evening of fun features the opportunity to bid on Oswego memorabilia, collectibles, antiques, artwork, home goods, and more. Guests may “silently” bid on a number of table auction items and raffle baskets. The highlight of the evening is the live auction hosted by Jerry Petro of Iroquois Auctions. This live auction focuses on high-ticket items and starts at 7:15 PM.
Advance tickets may be purchased by calling the museum at 315-343-1342 or visiting our website. Tickets are also available at the door. Each ticket allows the holder to bring a personal antique to be appraised. Extra items can be appraised for a small fee. Light fare will be available and there is a cash bar.
Donations are still being accepted for this year’s auction. Gift certificates for local businesses are especially appreciated. For businesses and individuals wishing to support the museum through donations, please call the museum at 315-343-1342 to discuss donation and sponsorship opportunities.
